Trip Project, Estimating Travel Costs

 

 In this assignment, you will begin to research your trip costs. You will research transportation information, Lodging and Meals information, as well as activities you would like to do.

For this assignment, you are taking 2 of your friends (for a total of 3 people) on a trip. 

To help you in your research, a list of Internet Travel Resources has been provided.

 

 

 

Assignment Requirements:

1. Use the supplied links for travel information.
2. Unless you are 25 years old, you cannot rent a car, and will need to rely on public transportation.
3. Check the Per Diem information so you know how much you can spend on lodging and meals.
4. Spending money is limited, and you should check the amount allowed for Entertainment and shopping.
5. Remember that there are three of you going, so all budgeted amounts should be multiplied by three.

Per Diem:
Per Diem means daily allowance. The US State Department puts out a regular bulletin about per diem rates for lodging and meals for every country in the world. A copy of the per diem listing can be found here, so you can look up your daily allowance for meals and lodging.

Recording Your Information

Airlines: Airline, Flight Numbers and Dates.
Price for each, and total for three.
Link to site where you received the quote.

Other Travel: Travel Dates.
Costs - each and total.
