VB Mail Order Assignment 1 (Project #6)
Throughout this term you will complete assignments for the VB Mail Order
firm. The firm specializes in providing
products to customers via mail order.
Customers place orders and the VB Mail Order firm ships the
products.
In order to provide
services, the VB Mail Order form makes available to vendors information about
key personnel in the firm. For this
project you will program a computer application to display the name and
telephone number for contact persons for four different departments within the
firm.
Requirements. Develop a form that is similar to the one shown below. You may have minor differences.
- Name the project VBMailLab1 + YourLastName – for example, if your last name is Bock, name the project VBMailLab1Bock.
- Contact names and their telephone numbers are displayed to label controls. The labels should have the Border Style property set to "Fixed 3D."
- Four button controls enable displaying contact information for the four departments shown on the form when they are clicked. The data to be displayed is given in the table shown below.
- An exit button control enables exiting the application.
- One label control is used to display your name. Replace the name "V.B. Programmer" with your name.
- On startup, the form must display in the center of the computer screen.
- Include comments in your program code to document the purpose of each procedure.
- Include comments in your program code to identify the project name, programmer name, and date programmed.
- Include comments (before the Public Class declaration) that include the PROJECT, PROGRAMMER NAME, DATE, PROJECT DESCRIPTION. Example:
Project: VBMailLab1
Programmer: D. Bock
Date: 9/8/2004
Description: This project displays information about
contacts for VB Mail Order.
- Include comments in each sub procedure as
appropriate. The comments should as
a minimum specify what the sub procedure does.
