Directions:  Create a website about one of the Extreme Sports such as:  skydiving, scuba diving, surfing, rock climbing, snow skiing, snowboarding, water skiing, mountain biking, mountaineering, cave exploration, storm chasing, hang gliding, bungee jumping, BMX biking, skateboarding, etc…  Using Dreamweaver Layer design a website with the following:

Steps:

1. Create a new folder inside your root folder called Extreme Sport
2. Insert an image folder
3. Create the following pages with enough contact
   • Index
   • Origin/History
   • Tips/Rules
   • Equipment
   • Dangers
   • Well known athletes
4. Graphics/Images
   • Custom made banners using Fireworks
   • Custom made navigation buttons using Fireworks
   • Images on every page
5. Footer on the Index page with copyright, last date updated, and name
6. Site sources

You will create a website of your personal choice.   You will have a say in the theme, design, and content of the website.  Even though it is personal choice, you will still have guidelines.  Please read the following!

Guidelines:

1. Identify what type of website you will construct

   • Educational
   • Community
2. Keep in mind
   • Type of Website
   • Target Audience
   • Goals of the Website
   • Purpose of the Website
3. Website Criteria
   • Root folder called Personal Choice
   • Hierarchy
   • Minimum of 10 pages (this includes the index)
   • Navigation that is not broken
   • Apply Elements & Principle of Design
   • Graphics using Fireworks and/or Photoshop
   • Incorporate Flash into your website
   • Link to your main Homepage

Website

Directions: You will create a website for your childhood favorite book. You will use Dreamweaver, Fireworks & Photoshop to help create the layout and graphics. Use the internet to help research and gather information about your childhood favorite book.

Steps:

1. Choose a book

2. Gather ideas for graphics & layouts

Memorial Day

Website

DIRECTIONS:  Monday, May 25^th is Memorial Day which is full of tradition.  It will be your job to create a website to inform the public about the holiday.

What you need to do?

§    Create a new Memorial Day folder for your website.

§    Inside the Memorial Day root folder, create an Image and Button folder and an Index (which will be the homepage)

§    Create three additional pages underneath the Index page.

§    Title these pages as:

1.    Origins of Memorial Day

2.    Customs & Traditions

§    The website is an informational site.

§    Use Fireworks to create your own navigation bar (buttons)

§    Choose your own layout

§    Include an image per page

§    Be creative and have fun!
